1. CCC & ESCert Lifecycle
Under the Indian Carbon Market:
- Issuance: Following verification by an Accredited Carbon Verification Agency (ACV), the National Steering Committee recommends issuance of CCCs (1 CCC = 1 tCO_2e reduction).
- Banking: Surplus CCCs may be banked for compliance in subsequent cycle years or monetized on power exchanges (IEX, PXIL, HPX).
- Surrender: Non-compliant entities must surrender required CCCs within 90 days of verification signoff.
